As often happens, I had known Elena for some time, both for having made Fine Art prints of her photos for a course, and for having met her as a best man at another wedding. Due to covid, Elena and Jonathan were forced to celebrate the wedding ceremony and reception on different days, a month or so apart. Meanwhile, something has risen…

The religious ceremony took place in the beautiful church of San Paolo a Ripa d’Arno in Pisa, which offers the wedding photographer the opportunity to have perfect lighting for the photos, without resorting to the use of spotlights or other auxiliary lights, in addition to the suggestive scenography of the Romanesque architecture.
Leaving the church in the moment of the most beautiful light to take wedding photos, I got on the open vintage car with them to go towards the Citadel, an ideal place to take wedding photos on the Pisan riversides, to then say goodbye and make an appointment at Villa Scorzi for the reception the following month.

Villa Scorzi stands in the shadow of the famous Certosa di Calci surrounded by the enchanting setting of the Pisan mountains. It is one of my favorite locations for weddings in Pisa, because it offers many opportunities both for the reception and for taking suggestive photos in the Italian garden, or among the olive trees.
As many couples often choose to do, Elena and Jonatan have decided to organize the reception and dinner outdoors, in the enchanting farmyard with the central well, all illuminated by luminous catenaries that offer ideal lighting for spontaneous wedding photos even at night
